The Challenge

Learning to read is different for everyone, and too often early readers feel discouraged when progress doesn’t come fast or when the materials seem unengaging.

Learning to read is different for everyone, and too often early readers feel discouraged when progress doesn’t come fast or when the materials seem unengaging.

Our task was to create an experience that inspires beginners, builds reading confidence, and makes reading feel magical—not a chore. We needed to bring narrative, charm, and achievement into reading learning, so children feel rewarded and curious, unlocking stories and collecting pages as they go, feeling proud of each step.

Our Strategy

We built Dexi Ville as a whimsical, interactive world in Minecraft where reading and story discovery happen through play.

As learners explore, they unlock hidden animal characters’ tales and gather pages for an ever-growing book, making each accomplishment visible and meaningful. With colorful settings, friendly characters, and reading embedded in the world itself, the experience supports beginners wherever they are, reinforcing confidence through small wins and joyful storytelling.
